overview
Fully immerse yourself in the wild beauty and history of the Meteora monasteries (a UNESCO World Heritage Site)—and have more time to explore than most other itineraries—on this 2-day tour from Thessaloniki. Splitting the tour across two days makes it easy to enjoy both a sunset and a morning at the historic marvels. Plus, with trains, transit, accommodation, and tours included, logistics are made easy.

Itinerary
Day 1: Meet at Thessaloniki Train Station at 08:56, take the train toward Kalabaka (you’ll change trains at Palaiofarsalos), then arrive at Kalabaka Train Station.
That afternoon/evening you do the Sunset Meteora Rocks tour by VIP limo minibus (small groups), with multiple scenic stops and typically 1 monastery visit plus sunset viewpoints.
Overnight is in a 3-star hotel (included), and travelers consistently say it’s clean and that breakfast is a nice bonus.
Day 2: You’ll join the Panoramic Morning Meteora & Monasteries tour, again with hotel pickup/drop-off in Meteora and minibus transport for the viewpoints and monasteries.
Across the two tours you see all monasteries from the outside and usually go inside 3–4 monasteries total (note: no guide inside the monasteries).
